The Heart of Texas Regatta is a USRowing nationally recognized event held each year in late February, making it one of the first sprint regattas of the spring season. Hosted by Austin Rowing Club on Lady Bird Lake since 1983, the regatta has grown from a small visiting-crews event into a two-day competition featuring Masters, Open, and Junior racing. The event is held on a fully buoyed seven-lane, 1,000-meter course with a state-of-the-art starting platform and welcomes over 1,000 competitors across more than 500 entries annually.
